Control using Kinect

I'm creating an application using Kinect, and I'm trying to integrate it in well with the Silverlight Flow Carousel.

Obviously I can set the SelectedItem, but I was hoping to do something smoother and more akin to the click-and-drag behavior on the Cover Flow examples - where it rolls free for a while depending on the speed of the mouse and then glides into the appropriate selection.
Is there anyway to access this behavior programmatically? I was thinking I might be able to pass some sort of vector input into the control to simulate the mouse drag?
